Field officer
Our client is an international organizational that has been in the industry of soap making, they are renowned for their quality, versatility and eco-friendliness. They offer a range of high –quality organic and fare trade personal care products. A vacancy of field officer has recently arisen.
The preferred candidate will have day to day responsibility of ensuring the producers meet all the
requirements for the organic trade-fair certification as required for international markets. This job requires a very high level of commitment, responsibility and professionalism – and a strong interest in supporting rural development.
Job Location: Ukunda, Kenya
Primary Responsibility
• Producers meet all requirements for organic and fair-trade certification, as required for international markets
• Conduct research
• support rural development
• Compile reports
• Perfume other related duties as required
Qualifications
Degree in agriculture or a related discipline.
Experience
• Must have worked within agricultural quality management and/or certification systems;
• Must have a minimum of two years experience in a technical or customer care role in agriculture or related discipline;
• Must have knowledge of the principals and practices of organic farming systems;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
• Computer literate
• Should have knowledge of the principles and practices of fair trade.
