Background: The International Rescue Committee has been working in Somalia since 2006, providing essential services to conflict and disaster affected communities.
The IRC has been operational in Central Somalia (Mudug and Galgadud regions) and Mogadishu implementing interventions in the areas of livelihood, WASH and health reaching out to more than 200,000 conflict and drought affected people.

 

Position : Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
Location : Nairobi
Supervisor : Operations Manager
Summary of the Job: - 
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant provides the first positive image of IRC Somalia Program office Thanks to her/his patience, ability to listen and assist visitors.
Central point of Office checks record and dispatch all messages.
Perform various administrative works.
The Receptionist/Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include providing necessary information and assure a discreet but efficient filtering, maintaining
reception.
Booking of Fligths as requested by the staff and making sure that all the invoices for travels are received and payments done on time.

Position : IT Officer
Location : Nairobi
 
Supervisor : Operations Coordinator
 
Summary of the job: The IT Officer is responsible for assisting and facilitating the installation, configuration, staff training and operations of IT activities in IRC overseas project offices. Fulfillment of these responsibilities requires extensive travel to and from project sites.
Prominent working relationships are the Country director, Deputy Director Operations, Logistics Coordinator and the Director, Field Office Technology in the field, and IT colleagues in the New York Headquarters office. The IT Officer will be traveling to Somalia to support the field offices on IT issues

Position : Logistics Assistant
Location : Nairobi
Supervisor : Operations Coordinator
 
Summary of the job: He/she ensures all logistic activities are carried out to a satisfactory manner by working closely with the Logistics Officer for the procurement of goods and services, handling of warehouse activities, meeting the transport needs of the staff, servicing and management of vehicles and the management of assets.
The Log Assistant will handle logistics issues in the absence of the Logistics Officer
