Job Description
The Nation Media Group is the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa with operations in print, broadcast and digital media. It attracts and serves unparalleled audiences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Business Manager, for all our print products, who will add value to the operations of the Group through the Advertising Department. He/She will report to the designated Commercial Manager – Advertising.
Business Manager: HR-BM-03-2013
Key responsibilities and duties:
Planning, coordinating and managing a team of Business Executives expected to deliver on agreed targets;
Coaching, mentoring and motivating the sales team;
Proven performance overtime and demonstrable potential to fit in the role;
Maintaining good client service and relationship management;
Developing and implementing sales strategies and campaigns;
Maintaining and fostering business relationships and
Contributing to the team goals while ensuring the achievement of the organisation’s corporate culture and values.
Required Skills:
Knowledge, skills and experience requirements:
Basic University Degree;
Diploma in Sales and Marketing;
At least 3 years’ working experience in a sales and marketing environment;
Leadership and people management skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
