ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Northern Rangelands Trust (NRT) is a non profit umbrella organisation of twenty six (26) community conservancies in northern Kenya and whose mission is to develop resilient community conservancies which transform people’s lives, secure peace and conserve natural resources. We are seeking to fill the position of Enterprise Development Assistant. Reporting to the Senior Enterprise Development Officer, the Enterprise Development Assistant will ensure effective technical and administrative support to the department to ensure that all departmental activities are well coordinated.
Your core responsibilities will be:
1. Technical support
Coordinate market days activities
Support women group training
Assist in supervising packing of finished goods.
Ensure quality assurance and product quality control is maintained
Ensure proper accounting systems, book keeping and internal controls are in place
Ensure an up to date database of all loan beneficiaries and trading groups
2. Administration
Provide office support to the department on administrative, logistic and operational matters.
Provide effective and efficient administrative and logistical support to the department.
Ensure proper records management
Warehouse inventory management
Offer excellent customer care services to clients
Supervision of field staff
Minimum Qualification:
Diploma in Creative Arts/Community Development/Project Management or Business Administration
Education: Secondary education KCSE C
Age: 25 – 35 years old
Three (3)years relevant experience
Exceptional organisational skills and Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong prioritisation, task and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently as required whilst maintaining a team approach.
Good computer skills including competency with Microsoft Office applications.
Willingness to travel to hardship areas
Fluency in English and Kiswahili. Fluency in speaking Maa is an added advantage
