Car and General (K) Ltd is inviting applications for the following positions:
Security Officer
Summary of Tasks

The officer shall maintain safe and secure environment for company property, customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises, personnel and clientele.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry.
  • Spearheading investigations, report on security breaches
  • Developing security systems and solutions, strategies and initiatives covering personnel and property
  • Management of guards within the premise, alarms systems and related security matters
  • Prevents Losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures, restraining trespassers and suggesting for solutions
  • Controls Loading and offloading of stocks, and management of stocks movement
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, interviewing witnesses police records follow ups
  • Maintains environment by monitoring and setting up building and equipment Controls.
  • Working independently in consultation with the Management
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Qualifications and Experience:
  • At least “O” Level certificate – C+ (Plus) or its equivalent
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to converse in Kiswahili and English language orally and written
  • Computer literate and information related security
  • Reporting Skills
  • High level of Honesty and integrity
  • Below 45 years of age
  • Certificate of good conduct and a clean discharge certificate.
  • 10 Years in Police Force
  • CID and Counseling experience will be an added advantage

Procurement Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing of goods and services locally as per laid down procedures for Company use.
  • Managing supplier/customer relations
  • Ensuring timely supply of quality goods and services


Qualifications and experience
  • Basic University degree
  • Diploma in CIPS or other relevant professional certifications
  • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management module
  • 5 years work experience in a similar role in a busy procurement department
  • High degree of integrity and honesty
  • Ability and readiness to work long hours
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Result driven and a team player


Accounts Officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all accounting functions of some sectors within the Group
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts under very strict deadlines. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transactions, accounts schedules and general ledger balances.
  • Analyzing expenditure and income on a monthly basis, comparing each item of expenditure and income with budget and providing explanation for variances thereof.
  • Produce quarterly reports for Board meeting
  • Preparation of financial accounts for annual audit
  • Responsible for accounts payables. Ensure timely posting of suppliers invoices into the accounting system.
  • Monthly accounts payable reconciliation. Ensure all supporting documents are in place and authorized and payment vouchers are prepared accurately and timely.
  • Preparing VAT returns, timely payment and submission of returns to KRA
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inter-company transactions reconciliations and agree balances with other sectors within the Company.
  • Verification of bank reconciliation and monthly reconciliation of outstanding imprest to general ledger control account.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting or Finance option)
  • Professional Qualification – CPA (K)
  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in a busy accounts department in a private organization.
  • High degree of proficiency in computer applications for Accounting. Those with working knowledge of scala accounting system will have an added advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, team player and ability to work independently.
