ICAP of Columbia College is using a consortium of partners brought by Jhpiego and also the Ministries of Health to implement activities for the USAID – funded APHIAPlus Service Delivery Enter in Central and Eastern Provinces.

The APHIAPlus Program is made to lead substantively towards the U . s . States Government (USG) and Government of Kenya goals in Aids and Helps, TB, Libido / Family Planning, malaria and maternal and child health.

1. Program Officer

Location: Embu and Nyeri

Overall Job Function

This Program Officer will plan and perform day-to-day implementation of Aids care and TB/Aids treatment services at APHIAPlus facilities, together with the Ministries of Health.

Key Duties:

Planning and implementation of Aids care and treatment services and TB/Aids activities at supported facilities

Provide on-going supervision of Aids care and treatment and TB/Aids programs

Co-ordinate mentorship of facility staff

Take part in quality improvement of Aids and TB/Aids programs

Help in program monitoring and evaluation

Preparation of budgets, work plans, reviews along with other technical papers

Needs:

MBChB or perhaps a Diploma in Medicine Knowledge about Aids/Helps programming

Knowledge of district-level healthcare programs in Kenya

Clinical experience of Aids management

Strong supervisory and management abilities

2. Laboratory Program Officer

Location: Embu

Overall Job Function:

Confirming towards the Service Delivery Consultant, APHIAPlus, and also the Laboratory Program Officer will give you tech support team within the planning and implementation of laboratory services needed for Aids prevention, care and treatment services within at APHIAPlus supported sites in coordination using the National Helps and STI Control Program (NASCOP).

Key Duties:

To help using the planning and implementation of laboratory activities. To supply technical help facility-level laboratory personnel.

To assist implement and monitor efficient documentation of laboratory results in the sites, and effective linkages between laboratory and clinical services

To supervise laboratory reagent and consumable purchase and distribution

To supervise equipment purchase, installation and maintenance

To supply technical assistance in rapid Aids tests, hematology and clinical chemistry tests, CD4 assay

To supervise the laboratory network transports samples to district hospitals

To supervise SOPs for major tools and methods or assays

To organize reviews on progress of every site on project implementation activities

To assistance with the implementation of quality assurance activities

Needs:

Greater National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or its equivalent

A minimum of four years experience of laboratory practice

3. Accounts Assistant

Location: Embu

Overall Job Function

The Accounts Assistant will result in day-to-day bookkeeping and help in the confirming and monitoring of finances to make sure full compliance with USG guidelines and rules from the AphiaPlus program in addition to GoK rules and rules with utmost precision and completeness from the financial records to facilitate prompt confirming.

Key Duties

Maintain and charge of petty cash

Prepare obligations for providers

Ensure proper filing of financial reviews and support documentation and posting QuickBooks transactions

Needs:

CPA II

A minimum of 3 years’ experience of an identical position

Proficiency in using accounting software
