Position: Accounts Assistant

Location: Nairobi
Our client, a leading supplier in hospitality solution is seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant. The position calls for an effective and professional accounts controller who is keen on detail and dynamic.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Processing of payroll – Compute the statutory returns (NSSF,NHIF, PAYE), and ensure that payroll is approved.
* Payment & transfer of salaries.
* Prepare and issue pay slips to all members of staff.
* Ensure company’s debt portfolio is kept at the agreed acceptable levels.
* Set and monitor credit limits.
* Where required, initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
* To manage the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers before the balances become overdue to confirm payments.
* Assist in establishing and enforcement of the company’s credit policies.

Qualifications and experience:
* CPA Part 2/ACCA Level 2
* 1 year work experience as a credit controller
* Be able to work under minimum supervision
* Possess a good understanding of Oracle, Word and Excel.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
* Good skills in Quick books and Pastel.
